    In order to serve the people effectively, a service team of 10 voluntary special assistants are helping at all times in the various service centres.

  6. State Rural Development Committee
  7. State Road Naming Committee
  8. Daily Duties

  1. Meet the public in the various service centres according to the service timetable.
  2. Visit the various areas to understand the problems faced by the people in the Berapit Constituency according to the planned schedule.
  3. Attend the State Government Department Committee meetings and district meetings.
  4. Attend the State Assembly meetings.
  5. Attend the activities organized by the government departments, local societies, schools and temples.
  6. To help solving the unforeseen incidents happening within the constituency.
  7. Projects Launched :

  1. 12.11.96 Launched the Sek.Men. Berapit Greening School Compound Programme.
  2. 22.11.96 Organized the MCA Bkt. Mertajam Division Youth Culture and Dinner Night, Deputy Youth and Sport Minister Dato Loke was invited to launch the opening ceremony.
  3. 25.11.96 Led the Kampung Baru Fire Victims Social Fun.
  4. 26.11.96 Opened and given allocation for the University Graduate Rural Service programme in Berapit.
  5. 27.11.96 Launched The Langkawi Education Project Standard 5 tuition Programme.
  6. 1.1.97 Chaired the Bkt. Mertajam Charity Fun Raising Dinner working committee.
  7. 1.4.97 Launched the morning reading programme of "Nanyang Siang Pao" and reading programme of "Sin Chew Jit Pao" to 200 over pupils in standard 5 and 6 SRJK (C) schools in Berapit area.
  8. 25.5.97 Launched the Berapit area greening programme and tree planting campaign.
  9. 1997 Monthly allocation for the Langkawi project adoption programme of 10 poor students.



  10. Plans And Programmes Carried Out :
  1. Set up a volunteer caring blood donation Group.
  2. Campaign Books donation for the RT Centre and various local societies' Mini library.
  3. Organize Langkawi Project Bicyclethon and donation of 30 bicycles to the poor students in Berapit area.
  4. Organize Multimedia and Super Multimedia Corridor seminar.
